American Society of Appraisers ASA Classes
I participated in a 2-day class called The History and Craft of Handmade Oriental/Persian Rugs. It was offered by American Society of Appraisers at University of California Irvine. There were 16 participants in this class. The instructor Guido Muzzarelli, Accredited Senior Appraiser was a very knowledgeable gentleman with decades of experience from the field of rugs and appraisal.
We had participants from Denver Colorado, San Fransisco, San Diego, San Antonio Texas, and from several other cities. Some of them were accredited furniture appraisers, art appraisers, property appraisers and a couple of rug appraisers who took the course to renew their credentials and accreditation.
We had one hands-on project in which each group had to appraise one rug. At the end of this 2-day course, we had to take an exam. This class was educational, fun and very interactive. I loved this course.
