In my earlier post, I cited an anonymous comment from a reader of my blog criticizing me for cleaning rugs for " a bunch of white Americans that have their noses high up in the air." I did not see that comment worth responding. But another follower of my blog, Mary, a very respected lady who manages a well established rug cleaning company in B.C. ReplyDelete1st, note I do not agree with how this man made his comment. BUT, it is important to look at how ALL humans elevate their status with things. He is not far from the truth, but it applies to Iranians as well. And...not just things. Opera was meant for the masses, and somehow it has become a status symbol for the wealthy. We all need to take care that we are not showing off for the neighbors.
