Our Rug Patch Works or Collage Carpets

This is one of our own patchworks. You can also call this a collage carpet.

The number 40 is significant in religions, traditions and cultures around the world; it is a mysterious number.  In the past, grandmothers made blankets out of scraps of fabrics in Iran. These works of art were called 40-piece blankets. This kind of artwork was our inspiration to design and produce Collage carpets.

These carpets are of modern design yet they are comprised of old and antique pieces of Persian carpets. We carefully select the rugs and take care of the hand washing/hand repair before we cut and stitch them together to make these beautiful artworks. Each of our collage carpets is like an album of different Persian rugs and a mosaic of different cultures and traditions of rug making. They have a modern look with a touch of authentic classic Oriental Persian character.

Our collage carpets are genuinely old and antique, not reproductions. We handle the whole process of making them in our own state of the art facility; we do not buy them. Since we produce them ourselves this means first hand supply and authenticity. Some people may call these rugs 'patchworks'. We call them 'collage carpets'... where every piece we make is a work of art.
