Are We Going To Finish This Job? A Moth Damaged Persian Rug

Moth damages on some rugs are pretty severe. This hand knotted Persian Mashad rug had several years of repeated dog accidents on it when we picked it up for cleaning from a client. After the cleaning was done, our client stopped by and inspected it. She fell in love with it again and wanted us to repair it and reweave the moth damaged spots.

So far, we have worked on the reweaving for almost a month, and we are still not half way through. Moth damage reweaving is very time consuming and it needs a lot of expertise in matching the color, design and construction. The more spots you fill in and reweave, the more new places show up. It is pretty tricky!!

Sooner or later, we will finish this repair job and will move on to our other projects that are in line for repair. Our other repair personnel are also busy with fringe, selvage and other big/small jobs.
