Fringes at the end of rugs are love and hate matters. Some of our customers love to have fringes (short or ling) at both ends of their rugs. They think fringes make the rug more authentic, and beautiful. Some do not like fringes (tassels) and they want fringes removed or unseen. They think fringes, specially long ones are troublesome.
If you do not fringes on your rugs and think they will look ugly if they are damaged, or you think they get sucked in and stuck in vacuum cleaners, we have a solution for you. We do not cut them, but rather hide them. In case you change your idea and taste, we can undo the process and bring the fringes back.
Here I am posting two sets of pictures. As you can see, we did not cut fringes, but did hide them and sewed them back. Both of our clients were very happy with the results.

Dr K picked up and delivered my rugs since they were so large - he carefully cataloged them prior to rolling them up for transport.
I later took a very large flat woven rug to DR K - I bought it in a junk shop for a couple hundred bucks perhaps (I would not have even bought it if I hadn't met Dr K -it was pretty filthy and I had every confidence he could work his magic on it) . - Dr K was very please with my rescue rug, he repaired it and cleaned it and told me it was valued at over $2,000! And was nearly 100 years old - a real antique now! How Cool!
I love Dr K's attitude, its so great to meet anyone who has so much love fort their field of work, a real treat -can't wait to show him my newest find, a weaving that I thought was Native American but a specialist on North and South American native textiles just told me its either European or Arabic - right up Dr K's Alley - he surely will know all about it.
