Shag Rug, Shag Carpet Cleaning in Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley

Shag rugs with high piles were very popular in the 1980's but they're back again. Hand washing and deep cleaning of them is our specialty. We dust them first in our stat-of-the-art tumble duster to make sure all the dust, dirt, dry soil and allergens are removed. Then we wash them with pressure washer on the back and face. The next step is shampooing ans enzyming them followed with thorough rinsing to make sure no residue is left in the construction. After this comes the extraction of water by our centrifuge machine and then drying. This is the traditional way combined with the modern technology.

After they are completely dry, we do inspection and quality control to make sure the job is done properly and your rug looks its best. If needed, rugs would be washed again or more detailing, stain removal and post service jobs will be done of course at no extra cost.

Red Wine Stain Removal

A client spilled red wine on his friend's Moroccan flat weave also called kilim. We could safely remove the big stain without damaging the construction or fiber of this tribal art object.

Clean Rug Gallery in Los Angeles

My brother in law and his family came from New York, last Thursday, to get away from the snow storm there. We have showed them around Los Angeles and tried to show them a good time. Today, after shopping they came to visit our Rug Gallery in Los Angeles. We used them as a good excuse to clean up our desks and our rug gallery. We put all of the rugs for cleaning in an orderly fashion in one place and all the rugs that have been professionally cleaned and repaired on the other side. I also cleaned up all of the paper that have been stacked up on my desk for the past year.
Staying clean is crucial in becoming successful. We are almost done with cleaning up all of the 2010 paperwork. Also, since my son Kash is taking care of all of the company's paper work, it's really helpful for me as we have not missed a single payment. He pays every bill right when it's delivered and takes care of all of my paper work, which really gives me a peace of mind and helps me focus more on the business and not be drowned in papers.

Rug Cleaning Los Angeles: Expenditure or Investment

Some times we receive or pick up very dirty rugs for professional cleaning. I do not know and do not ask why the customer has not cleaned this rug for many years. Some of them maybe busy. Some maybe concerned with the cost.

When it comes to carpet and rug cleaning, we should have two concerns. First and the foremost is our health (myself, my family, and my pets). We breath what we walk on. Second, the life of our rug. By cleaning our rug, we will extend its life. It is not spending on cleaning. It is investing in our health and in our Persian, Oriental or area rugs.

Here I post few photos of a rug we picked up yesterday for cleaning.

Carpet Life Extended by Annual Cleaning

Carpet Life Extended by Annual Cleaning

By Rosemary Sadez Friedmann
Tucson, Arizona

If you would stop to think how much abuse your carpet gets, perhaps you would
have a little more compassion for it. After all, the poor thing just lies there letting
everyone walk all over it. And it never complains when you track dirt on it or spill
things all over it.

I'll bet you will get more loving years of service out of your carpet if you just show it you care. And the greatest care you can give a carpet is to keep it clean.

Professional cleaning — once every year — is the best treat you could shower on
your carpet. In between, there is a lot you can do to maintain love and harmony
between you and your floor covering. First of all, vacuum regularly. You can't
vacuum too often. When vacuuming, use a beater-bar that will raise the pile as it
goes across the floor so the trapped dirt will be vacuumed up.

If something spills onto the carpet, blot it up immediately. Blot is the key word —
never rub, scrub or brush because you might be grinding the stain into the rug
rather than removing it, and this may even cause damage to the carpet fibers. Blot
and clean from the outside of the stain toward the center; this helps prevent
spreading. When using a cleaning agent, apply the cleanser to a clean, white cloth
rather than directly to the stained area to avoid saturating the carpet.

If the spill or stain is oil-based, you may need to purchase a dry cleaning solution
available at grocery and hardware stores. For non-oil-based spots, mix one
teaspoon of non-bleaching dry powder laundry detergent with two cups of water.
Wet that clean, white towel with the mixture and go at it gently but diligently. Remove the soapiness with clear, lukewarm water and absorb the excess moisture with an absorbent white towel.

Press down on the towel, or pile a few books on it, to help it absorb excess moisture that might be deep down. Repeat the rinsing and blotting process until you are sure all the detergent is gone. Finally, place a dry white towel over the area and weigh it down with books or other heavy objects for a couple of hours to finish absorbing the last traces of moisture.

Is it a stubborn stain that just won't go away? Try this: mix one tablespoon of non-
bleaching, non-sudsing household ammonia with one cup of lukewarm water. Go
through the rinsing, blotting process as described above. Next, you need to
neutralize the ammonia. Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water and apply this solution using the same procedure as above.

A note of warning: If the stain is from coffee, tea or urine, do not use the
ammonia/water cleaning method; the acidity in the former liquids combined with
ammonia will play havoc on your carpet fibers.Remember, if you love your carpet, it will love you back.
