I love these guys! They know rugs.Their customer service is great, they were all just really nice people. I don't know what type of rug the person who gave the negative review has, maybe they own an inexpensive rug that wasn't in need of any special care. Mine however is an old high pile Flokati rug that can not just be steam cleaned. It also needed a little repair. Its a piece I want to keep in good condition and own for a very long time. They took great care of the rug and of their customer. It looked great when it was done!!!! Also I don't love in LA but could not find anyone in my area who knew how to care for my type of rug. I dropped it off and they shipped it back to me for way less then gas there.

I am completely shocked at the 1 star review as it has been a long time since I have encountered the level of service and quality of work that I experienced as a customer at this shop. I brought in a pretty filthy shag rug to be cleaned and my expectations were exceeded. The shag rug will be going in my newborn's room and I was particularly finicky about making sure it would be absolutely pristine. The pricing was incredibly reasonable and Kash, who clearly takes pride in his work, gave me a very thorough download on the cleaning technique particular to this type of rug as well as tips as to how I could better preserve it over time. Everyone in the store is exceedingly friendly and I wish I could experience this type of customer service more often. I will definitely be back and have several much larger rugs that I look forward to having cleaned here. I know they will do a terrific job at a fair price.

I recently got my rugs cleaned by these folks. They did an amazing job! I had bought this beautiful, intricately woven, shag rug 3 years ago that ended up getting severely damaged due my new puppy doing it's business all over it. It was under a heavy upholstered bed, so I never got it properly cleaned. I recently moved and was beside myself with what to do. I called Rug Ideas and Kash showed up that same day, picked up my severely stained and smelly rug, as well as, two other oriental rugs that he informed were a lot more valuable than I realized. I was actually going to toss one of the orientals because of all the damage my dogs had done to it. He convinced me to let them clean it and I must say I am so glad I did. Within a week they delivered my rugs cleaned and looking amazing! Not only were Kash and his associate incredibly knowledgeable, but they actually helped me move my shag rug -- that by the way looked brand new, under my very heavy bed. I am incredibly happy and grateful for choosing this company. When the time comes to get them cleaned again, I will definitely use Rug Ideas!!!

I would like to highly recommend "Los Angeles Rug Cleaning" to anyone who has carpets that are of importance to them. I have been working with Dr. Kay and his kind and knowledgeable team for the past 2.5 years. They have always provided my company and my clients a service compared to none! In this day and age of "move it in/out quick", this company takes much care and time to provide the best carpet cleaning available. They hand wash our rugs [not steam clean & anyone in the know... KNOWS that this method is for wall to wall, only]. Their superior repair work is accomplished by artisans, not by machines. And then there is the amazing impartation of Dr. Kay's exceptional historical expertise, which he humbly shares. I have had him appraise many of my client's carpets for insurance purposes. I am a professional architectural/interior designer for 25+ years.

Dr. Kay is great!! I moved into my house 15 years ago and when we moved in there was a rug left behind in the garage, I never thought much of it until I decided to take it out and get it cleaned to possibly use it in the house. I took it here and Dr. Kay was able to tell me where my rug was from, what it was used for, made of, he appraised it and he repaired it and cleaned it to look new! After 15 years of sitting in the garage I was impressed at how amazing he made my rug look, I would definitely recommend this place

We found Dr. Kay extremely knowledgeable and passionate about our Persian rugs. Unfortunately, some had been moth eaten and damaged after being stored in a public storage unit. These are family heirlooms, and some are antiques. Dr. Kay carefully and expertly had the rugs rewoven, cleaned and bound. He shared the history of each rug with us so that we now have an appreciation of the dedication that went into producing each rug. These rugs are so beautiful and meaningful for us, the same rugs that our parents and grandparents walked on. How lucky are we in LA to have someone who can conserve these precious items!

I'm happy to say I've had a very different experience than the reviewer below. I just picked up my rugs there after having them cleaned and repaired, (dog incident) and they look AMAZING. The owner Dr. K was super friendly and knowledgeable he was able to tell me where my rugs were from and how old they were, he was even able to tell me who made one of them!

Today my husband & I made a visit to Dr. Kay's rug store on La Cienega. It turned out to be a very happy & rewarding experience. We spent over an hour in the store, Dr. Kay & his son Cash pulled out rug after rug with nary a complaint (its a lot of work pulling out those rugs & displaying them on the floor)
We looked at a huge variety of rugs, and in particular our eye was drawn to the array of beautiful Persian rugs Dr. Kay carries. Absolutely beautiful, handmade, handwoven, unique designs, I could go on and on, such is the extreme pleasure I get as I sit here writing & looking at the second hand Persian rug we purchased today, woven some 50 years ago, I can only imagine the secrets it holds.
It is exquisite & brightens up our apartment no end.
Highly recommended rug store in our book, everything is fairly priced, don't be afraid to bargain & the personal service is as good as it gets.
We are two very happy customers and this is actually our second purchase from Dr. Kay's. We bought a rug some 4 years ago from him & it's still going strong. Not a Persian that time but it is standing the test of time & still looks great & feels good underfoot.

A friend of mine referred me to this company. I called and Dr. Kay, the owner, and he told me about their cleaning and repair process. I gave them 4 of my rugs. They picked it up with no charge and after 7 days delivered it to me at no charge. I thought they replaced my rug with a brand new one. Dr. Kay is a great man and he is there when the rug is being taken care of. He makes sure that every rug is in the condition to be delivered. His company really does deliver a professional job.

Hi all. I was browsing through yelp as I ran through LosAngelesRugCleaning. I have worked with these people for 3 years now. They are a family business which is now run by Dr. Kay. I had the pleasure of meeting his lovely son as he delivered my rug home. I called them to pick up two of my rugs which were stained by my dogs. Sure enough, they picked up my rugs an hour later and delivered it a week later with no charge for pick up and delivery even though I was not local. I could not believe how clean my rugs got. They really set the standard in rug cleaning as I have worked with other rug cleaners and they ruined my rugs. These guys are great!

A friend of my recommended me to check out Los Angeles Rug cleaning, to have my antique rug cleaned since the value of it is quite priceless. I made the right decision about coming here. Not were they only friendly, Dr. Sohbe is an expert on rug and informed me my rug was in dired need of a deep intense cleaning. Which is their specialty since I made the mistake in trying to clean my own rug with detergent and a steamer causing it to be more soiled. The price was beyond decent and my rug were cleaner than ever. Almost didn't recognize the rug and forgotten the original color was red not orange red!! They even deliver the rug to your house!

I worked with Los Angeles Rug Cleaning couple of times. They were punctual and very professional. My rugs looked a lot cleaner and healthier after they cleaned them.
