Shag Deep Cleaning

This shag needed our deep cleaning process, which we started right away. First we dusted the shag to get all the dirt and debris out, then it was hand washed with special cleansers that would help penetrate the dirt layer and get it looking new again. Shag Rug - Cleaning and Repair Work

A new customer brought in his shag rug that he keeps in his home recording studio as it needed some Rug Ideas attention. Firstly, the shag was very dirty and had not been cleaned in 7 years. It had accumulated lots of stains and was worse for wear. The bottom segment of the rug had become torn and it really took away from the aesthetic. Take a look below:

The shag first went through our deep cleaning process, which involves dusting, complete wet washing and natural drying in the sun. This did wonders on all those stains! We then had one of our weavers cut above the tear in the shag and bind the whole side by hand. Take a look at the fantastic results below:

Shag Transformation - Dirty to Chic

A shag rug was brought in to our showroom last week that was in a very busy house. The owners have 3 children who are very active and run around the house a lot with their sneakers on; they play outside and then track dirt inside and provide most of the foot traffic in the house. Over the course of 2 years the ivory shag turned a gray color and had some patches of dirt stains. Take a look below:

The owner opted for our deep professional cleaning for their shag to help bring it back to normal. Shags are much harder to clean than regular rugs as the pile is much higher and requires more resources and attention to get it thoroughly clean. Shag Rug - The Clean Up

We had a large square shag rug come in recently into our showroom that needed some Rug Ideas attention. This is a unique piece as square shag's are harder to come by and the large size also makes it very unique. This rug had been cleaned about 2 years ago but had lots of foot traffic over that time. The stains blended well enough when they were sparse but when it became multiple stains is was harder to ignore. Deep cleaning shag rugs requires more elbow grease as the pile of these rugs is high and we have to make sure to get the whole pile clean. Layers of Dirt - A Shag Story

A shag rug was brought into our store last week to be professionally deep cleaned. This rug had not been cleaned in about 5 years and had no visible stains that were immediately apparent but it seemed to have an even layer of dust and dirt that had collected on it. It made the entire rug look a dark grey color which we thought might actually be the color of the rug. Take a look below:

Shag rugs require extra attention as the pile is very high and thick. It must be thoroughly wet washed in order to get all the dirt that has accumulated out of the rug. We put the shag through our deep cleaning process and to our amazement the shag was actually once(and now again) a different color. Take a looked at the clean shag below:

Shag Cleaning- From Shabby to Chic

A customer brought in his shag rug from his house last week that hadn't been cleaned in about 4 years. It sat in his living room and it's sheen had definitely gone elsewhere.
