Back to Life - Custom Reweaving

Today's blog post doesn't need a lot of explaining as the pics pretty much say it all. We picked up this rug from a customer a few weeks ago and the problem was immediately apparent... a hug chunk of the rug was missing! It turns out the owner's dog chewed a chunk out of the rug, leaving quit an eyesore behind. He was quite upset that one of his favorite rugs had become damaged so quickly. We explained that while it was pretty bad damage, we also explained that one of our master weavers could bring it back to life. Take a look at the finished reweaving below:

Our master weaver has done an immaculate job at the restoration! Our customer could not believe his eyes when he saw his repaired rug. Not only that, he couldn't find the spot on the rug where the bite had occurred. He was so happy when we displayed his rug that he had us come over his place again to pick a couple more rugs to work on.
