Repairing a Pink and Purple Oriental Rug

About a week ago a customer brought us a rug she had just bought. Unfortunately, they went to Las Vegas but did not take their dog with them. The dog, mad that he was left behind, decided to chew off the middle edge of the rug. The owner was extremely mad about the situation. She has a very unique rug which is composed of variety of pink and purple. The pile and foundation are wool.

We offered her two solutions, the most efficient being cutting the rug down and re-securing the side of the oriental rug. This was possible without affecting the rug's value since the rug is all the same color, the design is covered within the color and does not show the cutting.

The job came out very professional and very well. The repair is not recognizable. We are sure of her satisfaction. The only thing we are not sure of is, whether the dog is still mad to chew off the rug again. But we can professionally repair her handmade rug and professionally clean her rug as needed in the future.

That is a very unique rug. Was it a custom order? Glad that you were able to repair her rug and ensure that she can still love the rug and her dog.

Hi Mary. Thank you very much for commenting. It was not a custom order, but they had looked all over the town (Los Angeles) to find this unique rug. The customer was so happy that we could save the rug and the dog of course.

Thanks again.
