Several customers called me today and asked for our prices for rug cleaning. If a rug is dropped off and is not very dirty, we normally charge $2 per square foot. Some customers shop around and want us to pick up and deliver the rug with the same price, $2/SF. With the high gas price, this is not possible any more! If we know that the rug needs repair, we maybe tempted to compromise. Some of the customers try to be smart and not fair. Over the phone, they claim that their rug is very big without giving us the exact size and when we go to pick up the rug, we realize that the rug is much smaller than the size they mentioned. What are we supposed to do in cases like this?
Some of the customers prefer to drop off the rug themselves and we welcome this very much. It is getting tougher every day if you have to drive and get stocked in the traffic.
