I am posting the pictures and a little descriptions here. If you're interested, please contact him directly. There will be no referral fees, commissions or hidden fees. Direct purchase from a nice gentleman who does not need these hand made rugs and decorative textile.

Bear-hide, Animal Hide, Animal Skin Cleaning, Repair and Restoration in Los Angeles

We don’t like and don’t approve killing animals for their hides, but we restore all kinds of hides to make sure their owners do not go to market to buy new ones and add to the demand.

This Chinchilla patchwork was dropped off by a carpet cleaner for cleaning and restoration and the Bear-hide was shipped to us from Arizona. These are the projects Kash is working on now. This is an Asian bear shot in India in the 1930's by our client's father and is a family heirloom. It was brought in from England with the permission of the U.S. Fish and Wildfire Department.

We will professionally cleaned and restored the Chinchilla patchwork rug. We're going to clean the Bear-hide professionally, sanitize and soften it. We will restore and patch the holes and damaged areas, install a special type of fabric backing and sew canvas straps on the edges by hand.

I will post the after pictures when we finish the job.

Over Dyeing Rugs

Sometimes our clients have a rug that does not match the color of the room in which it should be used. In cases like these, we can over-dye their rugs to match the color of their furniture, walls, paintings or other items they have.

Memorize this formula: Ugly Rug + Rug Magic = Beautiful Shaved Down and Overdyed Rug.
Client bought this at a garage sale and asked us if we can turn this into something he had seen on the internet, so we did.

How to Hang or Mount Rugs and Tapestries?

Some of our clients have rugs and tapestries to hang and mount on their walls. They ask us about the proper way of doing this. Nailing, framing, using clips with sharp nails etc are not good options.
We have two better options. One is to sew a velcro strap on the back of the rug or tapestry. The other part of the velcro strap should be installed on the wall.

The better and more elegant option is to sew a pocket by hand on the back of the rug or tapestry. In this case, we can simply use a rod to put it in the pocket to hang the rug or tapestry on the wall. Rods are not expensive. You can buy them online or from Bed, Bath & Beyond or Home Depot for around $25 for a 4-6 foot long. Installation of them on your walls is also easy.

Give us a call in your convenience to discuss your project. Or just walk in with your rug or tapestry. No appointment is needed and consultation is always free.

Zebrahide Full Cleaning and Restoration

We don’t like killing animals for their skins and that’s why we don’t go hunting. But we specialize in restoring exotic hides/skins. Maybe with restoring these damaged hides, we prevent our customers to go to the market to look for new hides!!

We received this extremely damaged zebrahide from a client. It was falling apart. We washed, patched, and repaired it. We put a new backing with a waterproof fabric for extra protection. We also sewed canvas straps on the edges by hand to prevent it from curling.

Take a look and click on each picture.

We made a treasure out of this trash zebrahide. If you have an animal hide that needs care and love, give us a call to discuss your project.

Oriental Carpet Manufacturers OCM Kerman Rug in Los Angeles

Some of the rugs we receive for servicing are ordinary rugs and some of them are absolutely gorgeous and outstanding with histories and stories. This rug is one of the good ones from Kerman made in the workshop of Oriental Carpet Manufacturers OCM after they opened up their offices and workshops in Iran in 1911. This hand knotted Persian Kerman rug belongs to a celebrity client of ours and we just washed and restored it. This was a big piece of 12' x 18'.

There were a group of British entrepreneurs who opened up offices and workshops in Turkey to make and import hand made rugs to reply to the growing demand for Oriental rugs. They then expanded their work and entered the Iranian carpet production.

Professional Rug Cleaning and Wine Stain Removal in the Greater Los Angeles

Let me tell you the story.

They spilled red wine on this beautiful Persian Malayer Hamedan runner. A good carpet cleaner applied some chemicals in the house and the small purple wine stain turned into a way bigger orange stain.

Kash our Certified Master Rug Cleaner washed it first and removed the chemicals and the hardened stiff orange parts became chemical free and soft. He then did stain removal and put the color back on the damaged spots.

In cases like these, home remedies do not work and many stuff you may have in your kitchen cabinets that have bleaching agents will make it worse. Blot the stain out with a piece of white cloth. Repeat the process to get most of the liquid (wine, tea, coffee, pet urine, etc) out. You can wash the area with water and maybe a couple of drops of dish washing liquid (normally they don't have bleaching agents or oxidizers), rinse it, elevate it from the floor (for the air to circulate) and let it dry.

You can also call a professional rug cleaner in your area (not a wall-wall carpet cleaner) to discuss this further.
