Carpet Care Tips

We love to take care of our customers' carpets, bringing them back to life with a number of services, including our deep cleanings, repairs, stain removal, cat scratch removal, etc. We also want our customers to know how to take care of their rugs in between cleanings and repairs, which we do in a few varied ways. One way we give tips is by handing our customers "Carpet Cleaning Tips for Dummies" after they have received their deep cleaned rugs from us. It has some great tips to keep your rugs clean.

Another way we help our customers is with our own video collection which shows various methods of rug care, maintenance, etc. The video above was made by our sales manager and shows the proper way to vaccuum your rug in order to keep it clean and to avoid damage that can be done by improper vaccuuming.
Another way we give help our customers is by keeping them informed. Giving knowledge about our customers rugs is a great way to know exactly what methods go into making a particular type of rug, the history of certain type of rug, etc. We sometimes give informative books regarding specific types of rugs to better inform our customers of exactly what they have. Knowledge is king and we here at Rug Ideas are not afraid of helping our customers gain the wisdom that shows the culture/history/maintenance needs of the rugs that our customers have. The more we and customers know, the better we all are!

The difference of having a carpeted floor from a regular floor is the sheer comfort the materials give to the foot. That sense of being a royal (lol). Although the nasty part is the cleaning itself. If you have kids, then good luck. I think carpet cleaning is just like exercise. Also, understanding the right way to clean a carpet will save you time (and frustrations). My advise is these: right frequency vacuuming (use a CRI-approved vacuum). Clean and use products that do not damage the carpet or cause it to resoil quicker. Lastly, professionally deep clean carpets every 12 to 18 months to remove embedded dirt and grime.
